interface with PC and driver controler is old Atmel 90S8515 with 10MHz quarz (can be used better and newer)on universal developed board with very simply software wrote by me for conversion STEP , DIR signals from LPT to A,A and B,B signals for drivers control (active low standard) , if you need such software I can share the .bin file or sources as can be compiled for any Atmel uPC.
In laptop (p2 300) is mach3 , motors are from old xero and printers , motor drivers driver are SLA7024 (exelent for unipolar motors) one is STKxxx from old printers and xero ,
